Zendikar
Zendikar is the first set of the Zendikar block. This 249 card set brought us Enemy Fetch lands, introduced us to some pretty awesome Vampires, and Goblins, and also three new Planeswalkers Sorin Markov, Nissa Revane, and Chandra Ablaze. Released October 2nd 2009, Zendikar is currently the only traditional Magic the Gathering set to issue full art basic lands, and it also introduced the new mechanics Landfall, Allies, Traps, and Quests. Zendikar also features a returning favorite, Kicker.
Worldwake
Worldwake is the second set in the Zendikar block. Most famously known for the amazing Planeswalker Jace, the Mind Sculptor, Worldwake also introduced some new "Man Lands" (lands that can attack). The set introduces the new mechanic Multikicker and expands Zendikar’s Allies, Landfall, Traps and Quests mechanics. Released February 5, 2010 this 149 card set has proven to only get better with time.
Rise of the Eldrazi
Rise of the Eldrazi is the third set in the Zendikar block. Traditionally sets that are not base sets in the block are 149 cards. That was not the case with Rise of the Eldrazi. This 248 card stand alone set was released April 23, 2010, and with the size of the new creature type Eldrazi, we know why it was such a big set! Rise of the Eldrazi introduced new mechanics including: Annihilator, Rebound, Totem Armor, Level Up, and Eldrazi creatures and spells.
